J-ADD J-ADD provides residential opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to benefit from living in traditional Kosher Jewish homes.

Jewish Association for Developmental Disabilities (J-ADD) is a non-profit agency that has been serving developmentally disabled adults and children in New Jersey since 1986. Funded by the Division of Developmental Disabilities, J-ADD established “The Nathan and Naomi Berrie Home”, New Jersey’s first kosher group home in 1988. J-ADD empowers individuals to live complete and satisfying lives in incl

usive community settings. Currently, J-ADD operates seven group homes and four apartments in Bergen County that serves 45 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Respite / Family Support Program began in 1998 with 20 families and today serves over 200 families. The primary goal is to provide relief to families caring for their family member with developmental disabilities living in the home environment. This program offers advocacy, support, technical assistance, and voucher funds to families.
