On August 1st, the Gateway Cities Council of Governments hosted an Energy Resource Fair at the Paramount Heritage Festival in partnership with Southern California Regional Energy Network. We invited Empower Gateway, Council of Mexican Federations COFEM, and Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF). They were able to provide valuable community resources and energy efficiency incentives to residents. 💡We were able to provide 200 free agua frescas and esquites from La Espiga 🌽 to attendees who completed our event passport. We want to thank the City of Paramount for giving us the space to share these important resources to the community. 😁

El primero de agosto, el Gateway Cities Council of Governments organizó una Feria de Recursos Energéticos en el Festival del Patrimonio Paramount en colaboración con Southern California Regional Energy Network. Invitamos a Empower Gateway, al Consejo de Federaciones Mexicanas COFEM, y Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF). Pudieron ofrecer recursos valiosos para la comunidad y incentivos de eficiencia energética a los residentes. 💡 Pudimos ofrecer 200 aguas frescas y esquites gratis de La Espiga 🌽 a los asistentes que completaron nuestro pasaporte del evento. Queremos agradecer a City of Paramount por darnos el espacio para compartir estos importantes recursos con la comunidad. 😁

On June 20th, the Gateway Cities Council of Governments hosted an Energy Resource Fair at the Southeast Los Angeles Open Streets event. We invited Physicians for Social Responsibility- Los Angeles, Southern California Edison, Hub Cities, GRID Alternatives, and George Chevrolet. They were able to provide valuable community resources on energy efficiency and programs. We were able to provide pupusas from VCHOS Pupuseria and giveaways for attendees who completed our event passport. We want to thank the City of Maywood for bringing this idea to the Open Streets event at the Maywood Hub. We had an amazing experience working with the city and look forward to future events!

El 20 de junio, el Consejo de Gobiernos de Gateway Cities organizó una feria de recursos energéticos durante el evento Open Streets del sureste de Los Ángeles. Invitamos a Physicians for Social Responsibility-Los Angeles, Southern California Edison, Hub Cities, GRID Alternatives y George Chevrolet.
