As of 10:37 PM on 6/17/2026, State Road 67 south of Paragon is closed in both directions due to a large tree blocking the roadway.

Please avoid the area and seek an alternate route. Use caution while traveling, especially with additional storms and high winds possible.

🚒💦 Training Night in Action! 💦🚒

Last night, members of Paragon Volunteer Fire Company spent the evening sharpening critical firefighting skills through dump tank operations and drafting training.

When hydrants aren't available, firefighters must be able to establish a reliable water supply using portable dump tanks and draft water from them to keep water flowing to the fireground. These skills are essential for protecting our rural communities and ensuring crews have the water they need when every second counts.

Training like this builds teamwork and prepares us for the real emergencies our community depends on us to handle.

A big thank you to all of our members, cadets and instructors who dedicated their evening to improving their skills and serving our community.

Happy Sunday morning. God has blessed our department in so many ways. First I want to thank everyone that came out to the car show yesterday, it was a great success. Thank you to all of the sponsors. Our department has had a couple busy Saturdays with fundraising. Our crew is busy with runs and providing EMS and Fire for the race track another fundraiser. We want to thank the community for all the support, without you we couldn't provide the service that the community deserves. You all are in our prayers. God Bless everyone

🚗🏆 What an incredible day at the 2nd Annual Paragon Volunteer Fire Company & Paragon Firefighter's Field Baseball League Car Show! 🏆🚗

Thanks to the amazing support of our community, participants, sponsors, volunteers, and local businesses, we welcomed 67 amazing entries and raised a total of $2,766.75!

🔥 $1,143.38 was raised for the Paragon Volunteer Fire Department.
⚾ An additional $480 was raised through concession sales, bringing the total raised for Paragon Fireighters Field Baseball to $1,623.37.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, entered a vehicle, donated raffle items, purchased concessions, bought raffle tickets, and helped make this event such a huge success. Your support helps strengthen our department and the programs that serve our community.

Our 2nd Annual Car Show was today! We had an outstanding 67 entries of cars, trucks, motorcycles and a dump truck at the show. Thank you to everyone who came out today. We greatly appreciate your support for the fire department and baseball league! Hope to see you next year!
