I am deeply saddened to share that Dwayne Gray passed away two days ago. He was doing what he loved, fishing and may have had a medical emergency or got snagged and couldn’t get out. We’ve been friends for some 30 years and have shared plenty of kooky fun times together. The last ten years or so he took care of our Airbnb. He was reliable and I knew I could count on him. And there were a fewoccasions that he had to jump to help at a moment’s notice.  We will miss him dearly. Rip Dwayne! I still can’t believe he’s gone.

In 2008, the family whose grandparents built this cabin happened to find it and left a note on the door. As a result, they came and stayed and we started a journal that gives a history of their family. We invite you to leave an entry of your stay! Missing is our history. So if you didn’t know about this journal, I had good intentions of an entry but just never got around to it.
