Each police officer recruit must pass a Physical Fitness Test during the hiring process, which includes the following:

Maximum # of push ups (1 minute)
Maximum # of sit ups (1 minute)
Vertical Jump
300 M Sprint
1.5 Mile Run

Maintaining a baseline level of fitness ensures our officers are prepared for any situation, at any time! A detailed copy of these standards and the scoring rubric can be found at https://www.ccstest.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Cooper-Standards-for-Law-Enforcement-Age-Gender.pdf.

This cycle's fitness testing is scheduled for July 9th - 11th.

We're excited to share Benjamin Black's (Troop 461B) Eagle Scout project just in time for the opening night of Papillion Days!

Ben designed and built two tables that will serve as "Free Safety Bracelet" stations -- parents can write their name and phone number (and/or any pertinent medical information) on a wristband and place it on their child before enjoying the carnival and other festivities. If a child becomes separated from their family, the wristband can help volunteers or staff quickly contact a parent and reunite them.

This simple step can provide extra peace of mind while everyone enjoys the rides, games, and fun of Papillion Days!

Stop by to pick up a wristband for your child and help make this year's carnival a little safer for everyone.
