The Town of Paoli is experiencing a large power outage. The town electric dept is aware of it and are enroute to fix the issue. They are saying it will be a few hours to get everything fixed due to the severity of it. Please refrain from calling 911 to ask when your power is going to be back on. Please be patient with the electric crews and they will get everything taken care of.

We want to send out a huge Happy Birthday to our 911 Administrator Garland Eubank! From making sure that all of our equipment works everyday to keeping us in line and making sure we behave, we thank you and we hope you have a wonderful day! If you happen to see her out in about today or talk to her on the phone, be sure to wish her a happy birthday!

We want to pass on some information that we have seen on social media:

Yes the tornado sirens were tested today (7/17/26) and yes they were a little late due to us answering 911s and taking calls. We learned that a siren in Paoli (located on W Water Street) did not activate. We also learned that a siren in Orleans (located behind the elementary school) did not activate. We have informed both towns of the situation and they are aware of the issue. Any questions regarding this matter needs to be directed to whichever town you reside in or is concerned about.

Thank you!

Prepared to Protect. Trained to Save.

Orange County Sheriff deputies and dispatchers recently completed CPR and first aid training to strengthen the skills needed when every second counts.

We would like to thank West Baden Police Officer Ronnie Roach for taking the time to conduct this valuable training. His knowledge, experience, and willingness to train our personnel are greatly appreciated.

Emergencies do not always wait for medical crews to arrive, so this training helps ensure our deputies and dispatchers are prepared to act quickly when someone’s life may depend on it.

Thank you, Officer Roach, for helping us stay ready to serve our community!

We hope you all have a wonderful, cool, and safe holiday weekend!

We want to pass onto the public about some information regarding the tornado sirens in Orange County.

Recently the other night Orange County was under a Tornado Warning for several minutes. The protocol for the Orange County 911 Dispatch Center is that ALL county sirens are to be activated and kept going until the warning expires or is cancelled per the National Weather Service and only them. Our sole purpose of this is to make sure the citizens of Orange County are aware of severe weather and are alerted to the best of our ability for when a possible tornado is nearby or possibly happening. This protocol was set in place by the county fire chiefs, EMA Director, and the Orange County Sheriff.

🌙🌪️ Nighttime Tornadoes Are Especially Dangerous 🌪️🌙

Tornadoes that occur after dark are more difficult to see and often catch people off guard while they are sleeping.

Before you go to bed:
✅ Ensure Wireless Emergency Alerts are enabled on your phone
✅ Keep your phone charged and nearby
✅ Have a NOAA Weather Radio with fresh batteries
✅ Know where you will take shelter if a warning is issued

Don't rely on outdoor warning sirens to wake you up. Have multiple ways to receive warnings and be prepared to act quickly.

Being prepared before you go to sleep can save your life.
