6:35 pm update: Power restored to all but one meter inside Pamlico Plantation where crews are now headed.

6:18 pm update: Crews are still working on the Plantation circuit.

As of 5:56 pm we have restored power to all 514 meters on Plantation circuit. We are still communicating with field personnel who are wrapping up on site work.

5:43 pm: Crews have been able to restore one phase of the circuit while work continues on the two remaining phases.

Power outage on the Plantation circuit out of Washington substation. 514 members impacted. Tideland crews dispatched. Outage cause is not yet known.

POWER WAS RESTORED AT 10:55 PM
Latest estimated time for restoration is 11:30 pm. Repairs continue in our substation.

Unfortunately, power is back off as of 9:55 pm. Crews are still in the area and will continue troubleshooting.

Power restored at 9:20 pm

8 pm update: Crews have located damaged equipment in the Washington substation. Estimated time of power restoration is 10:30 pm.

Power has been fully restored.
Outage cause: snake.

11:40 pm update: crews were able to restore a handful of members in Fairfield while work continues to identify the cause of the larger outage. Estimated time of restoration is currently 2:30 am.

Power outage impacting 1390 members in Engelhard and Fairfield. Tideland crews have been dispatched.

Tideland EMC offices will be closed Monday, May 25. Our 24-hour call center remains available for member service (252.943.3046) and outage reporting (252.944.2400).

Power restored at 1:52 pm.
Outage cause: lightning damage

Update: Emergency officials have informed us of utility infrastructure that is on fire along Hwy 55 which is likely cause of outage. Crews en route.

Power outage on Fairfield Harbour circuit #2 impacting 1,780 members. Tideland EMC crews have been dispatched. Outage cause not yet known.
