HILLBILLY ELEGY Event on August 9 at the Todd Herendeen Theater, Panama City, FL.

Wonderful event. Very well planned and a movie/autobiography that tears at your emotions, but should be a testament to those going down a destructive path. Proof that you CAN persevere and change your life for the better, especially if you have someone, or a grandmother like “Mammaw”, in your life. Thank you Tho Bishop and Debbie Wood for making this movie, Hillbilly Elegy, available for us.

Also, thank you to Todd Herendeen for allowing us to see this movie at his theater.

The Bay County Republican Women's Club was honored and delighted to host Attorney General Ashley Moody as part of her Women for Moody Tour. Attorney General Moody spoke to a full house and was a pleasure to listen to. She shared information about the state's lawsuit against cruise lines during the pandemic, her working relationship with and respect for Governor DeSantis, and her disgust with the current opioid/Fentanyl epidemic. The attorney general also introduced her husband, Justin, and spoke about the best job ever - being a mom! Great meeting with wonderful people and as always efficient and tasty service from Trigo’s! - 131 Harrison Ave!
