If you noticed a temporary road closure in May along the Tarpon Dock Drawbridge for a special event, here's the result! WATCH: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-5YRa_lUFQ

Earlier this spring, a commercial production team utilized our iconic drawbridge as a filming location. The commercial, which recently launched in recognition of National Iced Tea Day (today), showcases one of our community's most recognizable landmarks to audiences across the country.

While filming required temporary traffic impacts, opportunities like these highlight the unique character of our city and the visual appeal of our waterfront infrastructure. We're proud to see a local landmark, the Tarpon Dock Drawbridge, featured on a national platform and appreciate the community's patience during the production process.

Keep an eye out—you may recognize a familiar view on your screen!

Bulk trash and yard waste collection services are currently experiencing delays due to limited staffing within the City of Panama City's Environmental Services Division.

Unlike household garbage collection, bulk trash and yard waste routes operate differently. When collection crews are unable to complete their assigned route on a given day, they return to the location where they stopped and continue service the following day. As a result, some residents may not receive bulk trash or yard waste pickup on their designated collection date.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as our teams work diligently to complete all routes as quickly and safely as possible.

In addition, residents are reminded to follow all established guidelines for bulk trash and yard waste collection, including proper placement, preparation, and scheduling requirements. Ensuring materials are set out in accordance with City standards helps crews operate more efficiently and reduces service delays. For complete collection guidelines and additional information, please visit https://www.panamacity.gov/154/Environmental-Services-Division-Solid-Wa

At this time, the City is actively hiring Equipment Operators to join our Environmental Services team. These positions play a vital role in maintaining essential services throughout our community. Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we work to serve our residents.
