We’ve spent so much time sharing little pieces of The Paddock House with you—the discoveries, the dust, the projects, the progress, and all of the moments in between. Now, we would love to finally invite you inside. ❤️

Following the Labor Day Parade on Monday, September 7th, we’ll be opening the first floor of The Paddock House for a Preview until 4:00 p.m.

This isn’t a grand opening, and the house certainly isn’t finished. In fact, that’s part of why we wanted to do this now. We thought it would be special to let our community see the house in this chapter—to walk through the rooms, see how far they’ve come, and perhaps imagine with us a little of what is still to come.

Because The Paddock House is still an active restoration project, we do ask that everyone enter and tour with care. Only designated areas of the first floor will be open to visitors. Upper floors and any active construction areas will be closed and roped off. Please watch your step, keep children with you, and remember that you are visiting a historic property that is still very much a work in progress.

Most of all, we hope you’ll come see it.

So many people in this community have memories of this house—or have simply watched and wondered about it for years. We would be honored to welcome you through its doors and let you see what we’ve been working so hard to bring back to life.

One corner. Two streets. A whole lot of paint. 🤍🖤

The Kitchell and Third Street sides of The Paddock House are officially painted—including the windows and doors—and we can hardly believe the difference.

After weeks of scraping, priming, painting, and working our way from window to window, she is beginning to look like herself again.

For the first time in a very long time, the Kitchell and Third Street sides of The Paddock House are freshly painted—and so are the windows and doors. 🤍

There are still plenty of projects ahead, but tonight, with the lights glowing through her windows, we’re simply taking a moment to stand back and admire how far she has come.

Such a beautiful sneak peek from RSG Photography. ❤️

We were so happy to welcome the Pana Chamber of Commerce royalty to The Paddock House this morning. Seeing these young women photographed on this staircase — in a house we are working so hard to preserve and bring back to life — was incredibly special.

Thank you for allowing The Paddock House to be part of these memories. We can’t wait to see the rest!

What an exciting day at The Paddock House. 🤍

This morning we had the pleasure of welcoming the Pana Chamber of Commerce Queens, and this evening we’ll be welcoming the Chilli Pepper Pageant.

There’s something very special about seeing these accomplished young women fill the house with laughter, celebration, and new memories.

Days like today make us even more excited for what The Paddock House is becoming.

She’s somewhere between what she was and what she’s becoming.

The front is primed, half of the Third Street side is too, and for the first time we’re beginning to see a glimpse of what’s underneath all those years.

Still a long way to go.

…and away she goes! 🎨✨Getting rid of the "unsightly purple" and seeing the fresh primer go on is such a satisfying step in this renovation. It completely changes the energy of the historic Paddock House, making it feel fresh, bright, and ready for its next chapter.

The blank canvas is officially set. Stay tuned, because the final color will soon be revealed!
