It was one proud day for the Palos Heights Police Department!

Yesterday, we were honored to receive a scholarship from Elevate Blue. We will be taking advantage of this scholarship by sending newly sworn in Sergeant Bill Moritz to a Staff and Command class hosted by Northwestern Univ. Center for Public Safety.

We continued to celebrate Detective Bill Moritz who was sworn in as Sergeant at the City Council meeting. Congratulations to Sergeant Moritz on your well-earned promotion and we look forward to your continued service to the residents of Palos Heights.

And last but certainly not least, we presented a lifesaving award to newly promoted Detective Jake Wiegand whose quick actions and commitment to his community helped save a young girl’s life.

Please help us in recognizing and congratulating our exceptional officers on their well-deserved achievements!
