At this week‘s meeting, Jan Morrissey with the Lebanon County 250th Anniversary Committee was our speaker. She gave us lots of great information about some of the activities happening for the anniversary as well as the about celebration to be held on July 4.

This Monday, May 11, we will be having a new member night at our Kiwanis meeting. The meeting will be a dinner meeting held at Hoss’s Steakhouse in Annville at 6:00 PM. If you would like to hear about the club and the work we do, please join us and be our guest for dinner. Please let us know if you have any questions or if you would like to join us.

We were honored to receive the “Doing The Most Good” award from the Lebanon Salvation Army for our work with the group. Our club president, Brenda Harwick, received the award at the annual Civic Service and Volunteer Recognition Breakfast.

Several members of our club attended the midyear convention in Boalsburg, PA on Saturday!

We are back at it today—We are again serving lunch to our friends at Lebanon County Christian Ministries. Serving our community is what we do!

Recently, our club president, Brenda Harwick, dropped off some supplies for the school nurse at Cleona Elementary School. This is part of our on-going project to provide the school nurses in Annville and Palmyra school districts with clothing, snacks, and personal care items that are often needed by students

At this week’s meeting, we installed 3 new members! Welcome Kimmie Caputal, Sue Batchelor and Larry Skinner. We also installed our new treasurer, Amy Loser, and our new secretary, Jon Harwick. Congratulations to all!

ANNOUNCING… we have big news! The Palmyra Kiwanis Club and the Annville Cleona Kiwanis Clubs have now merged into the Palmyra Area Kiwanis Club! We will continue sponsoring the Key Clubs at Annville Cleona High School and Palmyra High School and will continue all of the other great projects we have in our communities. Want to see what we are all about? Feel free to join us at one of our meetings. We meet every Wednesday at 8:00 AM at Salem United Church of Christ in Campbelltown with the exception of the second week of the month when we meet Monday evening at 6 PM for a dinner meeting at Hoss’s Steakhouse in Annville. We would love to share our mission with you!

Come out to the Blessing of the Animals at Palmyra First UM Church on October 4 where we will be selling delicious Sycamore Spring apple dumplings—food trucks, vendors and lots of fun!
