The Palmyra Fire Department is seeking dedicated men and women who are ready to make a difference in our community. Whether you're looking for a way to give back, develop valuable skills, or become part of a proud tradition of service, we invite you to answer the call.
As a member of the Palmyra Fire Department, you will have the opportunity to protect lives and property, assist your neighbors during emergencies, and work alongside a team of committed individuals who share a passion for serving others. No prior firefighting experience is necessary. We provide comprehensive training and support to help you succeed and grow both personally and professionally.
Volunteering as a firefighter offers more than emergency response experience. It builds leadership, teamwork, confidence, and lifelong friendships. Members gain specialized training, practical skills, all equipment is provided and the satisfaction of knowing they play an essential role in keeping our community safe.
If you are at least 14 years old, motivated to serve, and willing to commit your time and effort to the people of Palmyra, we encourage you to take the next step. There are opportunities for firefighters, support personnel, and individuals with a variety of talents and backgrounds.
