The Palmhurst Police Department joined the Hidalgo County District Attorney Terry Palacios and our State and local law enforcement partners this morning to announce the Fourth of July DWI No Refusal Enforcement Initiative.

From July 2 through July 5, prosecutors and judges will be on standby to help law enforcement obtain blood search warrants when individuals suspected of driving while intoxicated refuse to voluntarily provide a breath or blood specimen.

If you're celebrating this holiday weekend, please plan ahead. Choose a designated sober driver, use a rideshare service, or make arrangements for a safe trip home. Together, we can help keep our roads safe and ensure everyone enjoys a happy and safe Fourth of July.
