This morning, Palmetto Police Department officers were proud to represent our agency at the 2026 Manatee County Law Enforcement Memorial, hosted by Manatee FOP Lodge 70 in downtown Bradenton — just ahead of National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

We remember all who made the ultimate sacrifice, including the first law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty in Manatee County history: Marshal Joe Terry of the Palmetto Police Department, September 21, 1897.

Their service and their sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🖤💙
