A Great Time was had at the Fuzzy Forest yesterday.

🐛 We have another exciting author talk and craft event at the end of this month! Join us on July 25th from 2-3 PM for our Fuzzy Forest Festival. There will be plenty of crafts and activities for attendees.

🗓️ Save the date! There will be a local author event at the Palmetto Library on July 28 at 1-3 PM. Drop-in crafts and activities will be available for all ages.

🖼️ We were so busy making art, that we forgot to take pictures! Here are a few of the creations at last night’s 20s and 30s Make and Manifest event.

❤️ This past weekend, we celebrated and honored the life of Ellen Wile, Vice President of the Palmetto Friends of the Library. Ellen was a force to be reckoned with and a dedicated advocate of the Palmetto Library.

📚 Ellen joined the Palmetto Friends in 2018, shortly after volunteering at the library. She was an avid reader, attended our monthly book club, created our brochures and newsletters, designed our first t-shirt, led our communications committee, and most importantly, she was a great friend. We will miss her dearly! 🤍

🌳 In memory of Ellen, the Friends have placed a gold leaf on the Giving Tree at the Palmetto Library.

🍕 In celebration of National Library Week, the Palmetto Friends of the Library hosted a pizza lunch for the dedicated library staff, a delicious way to say thank you for everything they do for our community!

Happy Earth Day! 🌱 To celebrate, the library hosted a Terrarium Workshop with today! Attendees had the chance to learn about these self-sustaining miniature ecosystems for moisture-loving plants, such as ferns and mosses, and create their own.
