Hello Pioneer Peak Families-

As we close out the first quarter of school, please review these bus expectations with your child. Riding the bus is a privilege that comes with the responsibility to keep everyone safe. If your child shares a concern about behavior on the bus, please contact our front office so we can follow up and address it.

🚌 ALL Students are expected to:
Follow the bus driver’s directions promptly and respectfully.
Stay seated, facing forward.
Keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves.
Use quiet voices and respectful language.
Keep backpacks on their laps and aisles clear.
Refrain from eating or drinking.
Treat others kindly—teasing, bullying, and unsafe behavior are unacceptable.

🚌 Bus discipline:
Students who do not follow expectations may receive a conduct report and disciplinary consequences, including a warning, probation, or suspension of bus privileges. Repeated or serious unsafe behavior may result in longer suspensions or loss of bus privileges for the remainder of the school year. Serious incidents may result in immediate suspension.

Families are responsible for reviewing expectations with their child, supporting corrections when concerns arise, and arranging transportation during a bus suspension so their child continues attending school.

Thank you for partnering with us to help every student travel safely!

Third graders in Mrs. Ruhl’s class are taking their math learning off the page and into their hands! Through hands-on practice, students are building a deeper understanding of math concepts while working together, solving problems, and having a little fun along the way.

Because sometimes the best way to learn math is to get your hands on it!

Way to go, third grade! Keep thinking, exploring, and solving! 🏔️ ♥️

Our Mountaineers attended the Knight Invite and gave it their all! Students ran fast, pushed through every challenge, and showed incredible determination from the starting line to the finish.

Like true mountaineers, they faced the course with courage, perseverance, and teamwork. Every stride, hill, and finish-line effort was something to be proud of!

Way to climb high, run strong, and represent our Mountaineers! 🏔️ ♥️

Our fourth graders recently dove into an unforgettable science experience—salmon dissection! Students got an up-close look at salmon anatomy while learning how the different organs and body systems work together to help these incredible fish survive.

There may have been some “Whoa!” moments along the way, but there was also a whole lot of curiosity, questioning, and learning! 🔬🐟

This is science you can see, (smell), touch, investigate, and remember!

⭐️ Our Spring 2026 AK STAR State Assessment results showed strong performance and growth from our 3rd-5th grade students. We are proud of the hard work our Mountaineers put in each day and incredibly grateful for the teachers, staff, and families who support their learning along the way.

Test scores are only one piece of the picture, but it’s always exciting to see our students’ hard work reflected in the results. Way to go, Pioneer Peak!
