At this past Tuesday’s council meeting the CITY OF PALMER, ALASKA officially recognized April 12–18, 2026 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
Dispatchers are the ones answering when people call 911. They’re the voice on the other end getting the information, keeping things moving, and making sure their responders know what they’re walking into. It’s not something most people ever see, but it’s a big part of how everything works.
We were glad to have a couple of our own there to accept the proclamation in person.

We’re really lucky to have the team we do.
