Meet this week’s adorable adoptable pets at the County of Los Angeles Palmdale Animal Care Center (38550 Sierra Highway): 🐾

🐕 Hank is a one-year-old male German Shepherd. Hank is friendly, enjoys people's attention and plays well with other dogs. He is not leash-trained, but handlers were able to put a leash on him easily. Hank would do well in a home that socializes him and builds his confidence.

🦁 Leo is a seven-year-old male ginger tabby cat. Leo is a relaxed and friendly cat who is easy to handle, loves petting and would be good with any family.

👑 Princess is a one-year-old female Pit Bull. Princess is a bit nervous and shy, but easy to leash and has no problem in her kennel. Once she realized she was safe, she began greeting the other dogs playfully and with a wiggly body. This dainty royal lady needs a patient family willing to give her the love and care she will give them.

🚀 Apollo is a four-year-old male Belgian Malinois. Apollo loves attention and affection from people. He is very sociable with other dogs and is full of energy. Apollo needs a family that will play with him and enjoys adventures!

🐶 Lizzie is a one-year-old female Carolina Dog mix. Lizzie is a bit shy but approaches people with affection. She calmly plays with other dogs but can still be timid around them. Lizzie could use a family that lets her move at her own pace.

These are just a few of the cute critters available for adoption at the County of Los Angeles Palmdale Animal Care Center. All featured pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines. Care Center hours are Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; no appointment is necessary.

Adopters of featured pets can receive a FREE goodie bag by contacting Public Safety at 661-267-5234 or [email protected].

Thank you for bringing us together to honor the innocent lives lost and the unwavering bravery of the first responders who rushed toward danger on Sept. 11, 2001. Their courage in our nation's darkest hour will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸
