TEXT 1-760-774-0318 to make an appointment to see art inside year round. No appointment needed during light display hours. Visit www.KennyIrwinArtist.com for more details on my artwork. At ROBOLIGHTS, You experience a "Why not world in a why world?". Situated in Palm Springs, it is known as a unique light display festooned with more lights than you might find anywhere else, but it's more than just a light display, it's also the art, making it an art & light display. Built by artist Kenny Irwin. Started in 1986 at age 12, I wanted to create a physical wonderland of lights combined with fantasy of imaginary other worldly north pole themes run by robots. Take the tour, and find out what happens when you combine Santa Claus & Robots & aliens for it will be a great time sure to deliver smiles and laughter making it a holiday themed sci-fi spectacle. The display features a life time's worth of monumental detailed found art spanning nearly thirty five years from the time I was very little. When I made my first large outdoor found art robot at the age of nine. Ofcorse I have been creating art in one form or another since I was practically born.
Though ROBOLIGHTS is an extraordinary experience for people of all ages and back grounds to inspire imagination and creativity in people it also to encourage respect for the limited resources of our world in the form of sustainability that you see in the art made out of recycled items. At ROBOLIGHTS, You are taken into a parallel universe walking through immensely long zig zagging pathways that leads up to hundreds of giant robots, aliens & huge displays everywhere, space ships, rocket sleds and art created out of apx thousand tons of stuff including donated junk from over the last few decades that has come from family, neighbors, friends etc. Junk that would have otherwise ended up in a land fill but has been transformed into art everyone can enjoy.
ROBOLIGHTS is OPEN to the public from November 21st 2018 to January 2nd 2019 4:00-9:30PM every single day, including holidays and rainy days.
