Welcome to beautiful Palm Springs, CA. These photos taken during cooler days, remind me why I am so willing to live through the heat of the summer. It is beautiful year around. During the heat, hop the tram to the top of the mountains where it is 30-35 degrees cooler, and when the sun goes down, visit the street fair, the cafes, and dine in the best restaurants. You will love Palm Springs!

TripAdvisor has announced the top destinations in the U.S. based on the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions in destinations worldwide, and Palm Springs has made the list.

The results were collected over a 12-month period for the Travelers' Choice Awards. According to a release from TripAdvisor, Palm Springs was one of three California destinations ranked in the top ten of U.S. getaways.

Palm Springs comes in at No. 9 in the U.S. and Old Ranch Inn, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and Purple Room were noted for providing great value for travelers.

This huge Marilyn Monroe statue is amazing because it's taller than most of the buildings... Even if you're not a fan of Marilys's, you have to see this in person.... I can't reach her knees! No matter what you feel, it seem appropriate for Palm Springs and their love history of Marilyn. Never been a fan, but this statue's size amazes me.
