Seven of our PSUSD high school scholars took the stage today at the 2026 EMPOWER Summit in Ontario! 🎤

Speaking in front of nearly 2,500 people at this statewide gathering, our student leaders shared how they are making an impact through PSUSD’s Stand Up to Hate campaign and helping champion equity, diversity and belonging across our schools.

With State Superintendent Tony Thurmond among the special guests, our scholars proudly represented PSUSD and showed what student leadership looks like in action.

We are so proud of you! Thank you for representing our district so well! 🙌

¡Siete de nuestros estudiantes de PSUSD subieron hoy al escenario durante el evento EMPOWER 2026 en Ontario! 🎤

Frente a una audiencia de casi 2,500 personas de todo el estado, nuestros líderes estudiantiles compartieron cómo están generando un impacto a través de la campaña de PSUSD “Stand Up to Hate” y promoviendo la equidad, la diversidad y el sentido de pertenencia en nuestras escuelas.

Today on Patriot Day, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the incredible courage of the first responders and everyday heroes who stepped forward.

We remember those we lost by keeping their stories of courage and sacrifice alive. As educators, we remain dedicated to teaching our scholars the values of unity, resilience and compassion.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Thank you to Palm Springs Noon Rotary for welcoming Board of Education Vice President/Clerk Charlie Ervin to their Wednesday lunch meeting, where he shared a State of the District presentation. Board President Karen Cornett was also in attendance.

Several of our Palm Springs Leadership Association (PSLA) members attended this evening’s ACSA Region 19 President’s Fall Kickoff. PSUSD Leadership had the opportunity to connect with fellow educational leaders from across Region 19 and kick off the new year.👏🌟

Varios miembros de nuestra Palm Springs Leadership Association (PSLA) asistieron esta tarde al evento de inicio de otoño de la presidencia de la Región 19 de la ACSA. El equipo directivo del PSUSD tuvo la oportunidad de conectar con otros líderes educativos de toda la Región 19 y dar comienzo al nuevo año. 👏🌟

Tuesday was the first day of the District Arts Office’s Boys Art Mentoring (BAM) for middle school boys, and it kicked off at Nellie Coffman MS with artist in residence Jaasiel Leyva giving the 6th/7th/8th grade scholars the basics in hip-hop and how to hip-hop battle. The boys were picking up the moves and will be ready to build on them during Round 2 in October.👏🌟

Ayer martes comenzó el programa BAM (Boys Art Mentoring) de la Oficina de Artes del Distrito, dirigido a alumnos de secundaria. La actividad inaugural tuvo lugar en la escuela Nellie Coffman MS, donde el artista residente Jaasiel Leyva enseñó a los estudiantes de 6.º, 7.º y 8.º grado los fundamentos del hip-hop y las técnicas de las batallas de baile de este género. Los chicos aprendieron rápidamente los pasos y estarán listos para seguir desarrollándolos durante la segunda etapa en octubre. 👏🌟
