๐Ÿ†โœจ We are proud to announce that Elisa Nelson Elementary has been recognized as a PBIS Florida Model School GOLD Award winner! โœจ๐Ÿ†

This prestigious recognition reflects our school's commitment to creating a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. Through our schoolwide PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) framework, we focus on teaching and celebrating positive behaviors, building strong relationships, and supporting the success of all students.

This achievement would not be possible without the dedication of our students, staff, and families who work together each day to make ENE an amazing place to learn and grow. Thank you for helping us create a school culture where kindness, responsibility, respect, and safety are at the heart of everything we do.

๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Gifted Learning in Action! ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฌ

Our gifted students put their observation and critical thinking skills to work during a lesson on the Effects of Water Erosion on a Sandcastle. Students carefully observed the composition of sand and explored how water can change and shape landforms over time.

Throughout the investigation, students applied Gifted Goals 2, 3, 4, and 5 as they analyzed, questioned, collaborated, and drew conclusions from their observations. Hands-on learning experiences like this encourage students to think deeply, solve problems creatively, and make connections to real-world scientific concepts.

We love seeing our students take learning beyond the textbook and discover science through exploration! ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿฐ

๐Ÿ”ฌ๐ŸŒฟ During science, our first-grade students went on a field study at ENE to explore how systems work in nature! Students observed the natural world, recorded their findings in science journals, and asked thoughtful questions about what they noticed.

This hands-on experience supported our science standards by encouraging students to investigate, generate explanations, and keep written and pictorial records of their discoveries. We loved seeing their curiosity and scientific thinking in action! ๐ŸŒŽโœจ
