America was given birth by farmers.
Things have changed. Been "simplified" and made more "efficient".
This "efficiency" now needs a cure.
Application of human subtlety as opposed to brutalist mono-culture.
This approach must be given universal; application.
Farming as a sort of soils strip-mining must be abolished.
Here is the substitute! Diversity. Living nature's foundation.
We talk a lot about culture, well this is the essential meaning.

Agriculture is a major driver of climate change and biodiversity loss. But integrating trees into farming practices can boost food production, store carbon and save species.

Brings yet another dimension to "urban farming".The moral, ecological and economic benefits are very hard to beat.

This was such a great story until the details are revealed. False or half-truth sustainability is not going to get us where we need to go. It is a start but we can do without the hype and overstatements! It puts sustainability in a less favorable light than it deserves.

Biologists and many desert dwellers realize the benefits of burrows and burrowing, as well as nesting in boulder fields and talus slopes. But it is more complicated than that and many critters, including many of us, already live on the thermal edge. Good messaging for climate change discussions.

Like a well-run (vs. a debt-heavy) corporate budget, we should be building back nature assets, the very body of the planet. Consider too how much more beautiful and enriching it will be.

Well, this is inconvenient! This GHG sector may be the hardest to adjust! Here is pleading to the chefs of the world to make this transition palatable. What is ironic is the enormous positive effects this will have! Of course, with the contempt shown by some for wearing masks, there will be some resistance. Just look at the ground lost in recent years to fossil fuel emissions and misdirected capital. Capitalist processes have been wrecked and irrational and anti-science impulses promoted. Time is not on our side and neither are these easily manipulated impulses. We know we need a better diet anyway, for ourselves and the planet. Please make it palatable!

What we eat, how much we eat, and how much we waste puts us over 1.5 degrees.
