Villages of Hope

Villages of Hope We are dedicated to providing a affordable housing and assistance to youth as they develop life-skills and resources and transition to healthy independence.

Villages of Hope is a sister-entity of Place of Hope providing independent living residential support and essential life-skills development for emancipated foster youth, homeless youth, single moms with kids and human trafficking survivors. Villages of Hope is an affiliate of Place of Hope and has been organized to provide independent living, residential support, and essential life-skills development services for emancipated foster youth who "age-out" of the state's foster care system and other homeless youth. On any given day, Villages of Hope will serve up to 18 youth ages eighteen to twenty-five in our supervised transitional apartment setting. Life skills training and development opportunities will also be made available to young adults in transition who are living with family members, friends, in other facilities, and attempting to live on their own. Joann's Cottage is a faith-based, family-style maternity home for girls providing comprehensive care for young mothers and young mothers-to-be. The maternity home operates at a secured location in a traditional family neighborhood, welcoming girls into a safe, healthy, and productive environment 24 hours a day/seven days a week.

Children are not for sale.

Human trafficking does not always look like what we think it will. It is often hidden in plain sight, and the lives being taken are the lives of innocent children. Behind every statistic there is a person. A boy. A girl. Someone's child.

This is why we are fighting human trafficking. Join us for Light in the Shadows, our anti-trafficking luncheon, where we focus on prevention, protection, and recovery for children in Palm Beach County.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the individuals and families who been affected every day since. We also honor the first responders, service members, and neighbors who answered the call.

Their courage reminds us what we are called to do for one another. Join us as we remember and pray over this day.

Our Light in the Shadows Freedom Fund exists to expose the darkness, disrupt trafficking and exploitation, recover victims, and restore lives because trafficking does not look like what we think it will. It often hides in plain sight, and the lives being taken are children's lives.

We close that gap first by providing safe housing, counseling, education, and the support real recovery takes for these kids to thrive and not just survive.

Thank you to our Freedom Fund sponsors, who are PBSO - Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Selah Aesthetics, and The Smith Brothers Family Foundation for standing with us in this fight.

Our summer programming changed our kids' lives.

Here is what we mean: A teenager who learns to cook and budget becomes a young adult who makes rent and eats healthy. One who practices interviewing walks into the real one and lands the job. One who serves alongside local charities like The Lord's Place learns what it feels like to be the person helping instead of the person who needed help.

Our programs this summer covered education and career, spiritual formation, arts and culture, health and wellness, and life skills. They are designed to create full circle empowerment, and that is where we see real change that changes their lives.
