Today, we celebrate Father’s Day, a time to recognize and honor the fathers and father figures who have made a lasting impact in our lives.

Fathers play a vital role in shaping families and strengthening our community. Through their guidance, support, and example, they help instill values that carry on for generations. Whether through quiet moments of encouragement or leading by example, their influence is felt in countless ways.

We thank all fathers for their dedication, love, and commitment. Your role does not go unnoticed, and your impact continues to shape the future of our community.

On a personal note, I am incredibly grateful for my family and for the blessing and opportunity to be a father and grandfather to these amazing people. They are among my greatest joys, and I cherish every moment we share.

6/8 | A 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred at approximately 2PM 73 miles WNW of Mantua, Cuba. Reports of shaking from the earthquake have been felt in at least the Orlando, Melbourne, Jacksonville, and Miami areas. There is no Tsunami threat.

Today, we pause to remember D-Day, a defining moment in World War II that changed the course of history. On June 6, 1944, Allied forces carried out the largest amphibious invasion ever, landing on the beaches of Normandy and beginning the effort to liberate Europe from N**i control. We honor the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of those who stepped onto those shores under unimaginable conditions, driven by a commitment to defend freedom. Their bravery and determination remain a lasting reminder of what it means to serve a cause greater than oneself.

Hurricane Season has officially started, Palm Bay. Sign up for notifications to stay informed!

Hurricane season begins June 1, and now is the time to prepare.

One of the most important things you can do before a storm is make sure you know where to find official information. The City of Palm Bay will share updates on closures, service changes, road conditions, emergency information, and recovery efforts through our website and official social media channels.

Residents are also encouraged to sign up for AlertBrevard to receive emergency notifications by phone, text, or email.
