Weather permitting, **Bergen County Mosquito & Vector Control** will conduct truck ULV spraying in the **Grand Avenue & Route 46 area** as part of its adult mosquito control program.

📅 **Friday, September 11, 2026**
🕒 **3:00 AM – 6:00 AM**
📍 **Grand Ave & Route 46 Area**

⚠️ **Residents are advised to take the following precautions:**
🪟 Keep windows closed during spraying.
🐾 Keep pets indoors during the treatment period.
🏠 When possible, remain indoors while spraying is underway.

The National Weather Service has issued a **Flood Watch for Bergen County** beginning at **midnight through 11:00 PM Thursday, August 27**.

🌧️ Heavy rainfall of **1–1.5 inches** is possible and may cause flooding across the County, particularly on highways, streets with poor drainage, and low-lying areas.

⚠️ **Please use caution when traveling.**
🚗 Never drive through flooded roadways.
📱 Stay alert for changing weather conditions and additional emergency updates.

🛵 IMPORTANT: NJ E-BIKE LAW IS NOW IN EFFECT!
If you or your family ride an e-bike in New Jersey — you need to know this. The new law took effect June 26, 2026 under P.L. 2025, c.285. 📋
Here's the quick breakdown:
🔞 Minimum Age: 15 years old
🪪 License: Required (driver's license OR Class F moped license)
📋 Registration: Must register with the NJMVC
⛑️ Helmet: Required for ALL riders — no exceptions
🛡️ Insurance: Depends on the type of e-bike
🚲 Regular bicycle: NOT affected by this law
✅ E-trikes: Exempt from this law
⚠️ Riders 15–16 without a driver's license must obtain a Class F moped license to operate legally.

The Borough of Palisades Park DPW offers curbside pickup of unwanted metal goods for all residents. Pickups happen every Tuesday and Friday, but you must call ahead to schedule — items left out without an appointment will not be collected.
