Congratulations are in order!! Our own Logan Kimmel successfully passed his Level 2 state fire test and is now our newest state certified firefighter! Logan has wanted this since being a young boy following in his father’s foot steps! He has been a cadet for many years and we look forward to the future with him! Congrats sir!

Today we spent over 8 hours with Western Buckeye Training ! Was a fantastic day hosting Hollansburg Community Volunteer Fire Dept., Inc. Station 9 and a member from Union City Fire Department. We covered Engine operations,VES,rescues,hose deployment,scene size ups/360’s and much more! Was a perfect day to be outside. Thanks to Jordan and Bo for continuing our education to better serve you!

PSA‼️‼️-Due to the power outage in Palestine from a current on going call of broken power lines our Tornado siren will NOT work nor will the traffic light until the issue is resolved. AES has said they’ve made this a priority call due to these things being affected! Stay safe!

Tonight we did some very basic hands on training preparing our members about to take their state fire test the next few months.
Additionally we implemented the “Golden” face piece. This means any member at any time can challenge the member who holds the golden face piece. Meaning- full gear race from normal clothes to full gear and breathing air off of the air pack. Tonight the very first winner was Logan Kimmel with a full gear up time of 54.33 seconds. Very impressive! Looking forward to who will take the trophy from him!

Earlier this evening we responded a possible structure fire on Richmond Palestine Road. Thankfully the fire was small and did not cause extensive damage to the entire house. We would like to thank New Madison Volunteer Fire Department Hollansburg Community Volunteer Fire Dept., Inc. Station 9 Greenville Township Emergency Services Greenville Ohio Fire Department for their help tonight!
