First Adopt-A-Highway cleanup of the year completed tonight on 23A and 32A. Thanks to all our members who participated and our Ladies Auxiliary for helping out also.

Note: State DOT picks up our full orange bags a day or two after our cleanup.

IMPORTANT RESPONSE UPDATE - 3/23/2020

The Palenville Fire Department continues to answer fire and rescue alarms during the current COVID-19 situation. We have implemented some internal modifications to our operations and although we are a 100% Volunteer organization, we are truly an essential service and we have a responsibility to our residents.

Our Department also provides EMS and medical services as a First Responder agency supporting the transporting agency, Catskill Ambulance. Under a new temporary policy set by Greene County Emergency Services, the Fire Department will only be dispatched to 911 medical emergencies of Echo level calls and Delta level Cardiac Arrest calls (defined as “life threatening”). An ambulance WILL continue to be dispatched for ALL medical 911 calls in the Palenville Fire District.

Once the threat of exposure is minimized, we will return to responding to all medical emergencies.
