Just a reminder that there are increased penalties for threatening or assaulting utility workers. Let's all be safe out there!

The Florida Legislature has passed a bill with unanimous bipartisan support to increase penalties for assault and battery against , strengthening protections for those who maintain essential services. Thank you to Sen. Clay Yarborough and Rep. Jennifer Kincart Jonsson for State House, District 49 for your leadership in ensuring their safety.

Phase II Severe Water Shortage Declared for Putnam County.

Because of the ongoing severe drought, the St. Johns River Water Management District has now included Putnam County in its Moderate Water Shortage declaration. Although restrictions are voluntary for now, saving water is important to protect our groundwater and avoid stricter rules later.
Please turn off irrigation systems, fix leaks quickly, run only full loads in dishwashers and washing machines, and cut back on non-essential water use like washing cars. Every drop matters right now. If we all do our part, we can help protect Palatka’s water for everyone.
