Everyone politician running should have to make similar pledges, better yet we should just overturn Citizens United and get billionaires and corporate donors out of politics

My priority will always be serving our communities; not lobbyists, corporate interests, or special interest groups.

Unlike Congressman Cory Mills, I won't sell out Central Florida families for a quick buck. I'll always put our neighbors and families first.

This Memorial Day weekend, the Palatka Young Democrats stand in solidarity with our Putnam County community as we honor the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We remember that the cost of war and the defense of our rights has historically been borne by regular, working-class families. Today, we honor those fallen heroes not just with words, but by committing ourselves to building a nation worthy of their sacrifice. One rooted in justice, equality, and respect for the people who came before us and gave so much.

This weekend is an opportunity to spend time with family, friends, and neighbors.So lets make the most of it and take a moment to reflect on how we can work together to make our community stronger and honor those who gave so much to give us that chance.

Things might be tough for some of us right now. The stresses and pressures of life can get to anyone. So today, take a moment to uplift your neighbor with a few kind words.

Say hello when you see someone on your evening walk. Hold the door for someone at the store. Compliment a stranger. Check on a friend or family member.

Small acts of kindness can go a long way.
