Not all days were bad or stressful at the facility, because a least once a week we took mama home if it was possible due to her disability. I will cherish those days.

My heart and soul was truley broken, a few weeks ago I was contacted by 2 people in reference to their loved one being mistreated and abuse. Oh, I absolutely know it is definitely occurring.

They ask how I can help with the abuse (it’s very simple). You allow me to be the resident’s private advocate and let me get to work! I will meet with you find out the details and if you contract with me, I’ll go to work getting things done. But….

Back, to how my heart was so broken was they choose to do NOTHING! Of course I told them it must be reported by them (not sure they did).

Stay tuned this week and I’ll tell you why people are so resistance for reaching out for help.

I advocate for our Senior community who are in nursing homes for long term care and also short term rehab.

If you have or know of someone in a nursing home facility, please make sure you check on them regularly. If you know of someone who is being neglected, verbal abuse, or physically abuse, please reach out to me. Our conversation is totally confident.
