The Johnson county Sheriffs Office is currently collecting the 2025 Gas and Oil bills. This collection began on Monday August 3rd, 2026. These Bills were mailed out the last week of July. If you have not received your bill and feel that you think you may owe a bill please contact our office between Monday and Friday 8am-4.pm at 606-789-3411. We are working on setting up credit card payments and will be in affect soon. We are accepting Cash, Money order, and Check. Please do not mail Cash!

🚨As of this time 1428 is reopened for traffic. All work has been completed.🚨

Kentucky 1428 between FS VanHoose lumber company and Hager Hill is currently closed to all traffic due to a tree falling and blocking both lanes. Please do not travel this road and find an alternate route. At this particular time, it is unknown when the road will be open back up for traffic.

We are asking for the communities assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for this incident.
