What an incredible day under the Big Top! ❤️ The Lake County Volunteer Network and the Council on Aging celebrated volunteers at yesterday's annual recognition held at the beautiful Painesville Township Park.

This year’s Big Top Appreciation theme brought the circus to life! Fire eating, knife juggling, and unbelievable balancing acts wowed the crowd of more than 140 volunteers. Guests enjoyed classic carnival favorites while we honored the magic each volunteer brings to our community.

Thanks to all our volunteers! 🌟 You are the stars of our Big Top!

Protecting older adults from scams and financial exploitation is something we all need to be aware of. This event is a great opportunity to learn about current scams, warning signs, and steps you can take to protect yourself and the older adults in your life. See link below to register.

If you suspect that an older adult may be experiencing financial exploitation, abuse, or neglect, please remember that The Lake County Children and Adult Services Division (APS) is available to help. You don’t have to navigate these situations alone. APS is available 24/7 by calling (440) 350-4000, option 1.

Panelists include Judge Mark J. Bartolotta of the Lake County Probate Court; Officer Dan Radigan of the Mentor Police Department; and Connie Brocone, LSW, Community Outreach Social Worker with the Lake County Council on Aging.

Practical information and resources to help attendees recognize and respond to online fraud will be covered, including:

A HUGE thank you to our amazing Lake County Volunteer Network (LCVN) volunteers! 🌟 Our team of LCVN volunteers came together to assist in the assembly of 1,700 backpacks filled with school supplies to be distributed on Saturday, August 1 at the Lake County Back to School Bash! 🎒📚 The volunteer teamwork and dedication will help local students start the school year feeling confident and prepared. We’re so grateful to everyone who showed up to make a difference! ❤️
