🚦 TRAFFIC ALERT: Highway 160 & Homestead Road

Nye County Public Works is advising motorists that the traffic signal at Highway 160 and Homestead Road in Pahrump is operating in four-way flashing red mode.

Please treat the intersection as a four-way stop.

Drivers should slow down, come to a complete stop, watch for other vehicles and pedestrians, and use extra caution while traveling through the intersection.

The County is working to fix the issue.

The Nye County Veterans Banner Program has officially opened for applications through December 3. The program honors past and present service members by displaying their names and photos on banners along the Calvada Eye. These banners recognize their courage, service, and connection to our community.

Eligible nominees must be:
• A current or past member of the United States Armed Forces.
• A current, former, or deceased resident of Nye County.
• Honorably discharged.
• Submitted by themselves or their closest living relative.

Applications will be available at the Nye County Administration Offices in Pahrump and Tonopah, or can be downloaded at www.nyecountynv.gov/DocumentCenter/View/51932

Submit completed applications, supporting documents, and a photo by December 3, 2026, at 12 p.m.

Lakeview Executive Golf Course is hosting a Fall Car & Bike Show on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Vendor spaces are available for $25 for a 10’ x 10’ area.

Food will be available at the clubhouse, and a trophy will be awarded for Best of Show.

The event will be held at 1471 Mount Charleston Drive.

Lakeview Executive Golf Course is hosting a Monster Mash 4‑Player Scramble on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The event begins with a 9 a.m. sh***un start.

The cost is $45 per player, and payment is due by October 8 at 3 p.m.

This event is cash only.

Players may buy up to two mulligans for $5 each on tournament day.

Sign‑ups are available in the clubhouse.
