Michael Dougherty, one of four Democrats running for state attorney general, will be in Pagosa Springs on Monday at 3:30 p.m. for a meet and greet at Faire Society Café & Pâtisserie. Dougherty is currently the district attorney in Boulder County.

The Colorado Primary is June 30th; mail ballots should arrive in the next 10 days.

We hold Rep. Jeff Hurd to account for his (many) wrongheaded votes, so let’s give credit when we can. He joined several other Republicans today in voting to restore aid to Ukraine.

The House of Representatives voted 226 to 195 to pass a sweeping Ukraine aid and Russia sanctions package on Thursday.

The House voted today to rein in Donald Trump’s war in Iran. A handful of Republicans broke ranks and voted with Dems for accountability.

Jeff Hurd was not one of them. He apparently thinks this war is going GREAT.

In May, the Senate advanced a similar measure to force the president to end the prolonged conflict with Iran.

The Town of Pagosa Springs is proud to recognize June 2026 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month.

At this week's Town Council meeting, Mayor and Council members joined community members to celebrate the proclamation recognizing Pride Month and reaffirming the Town's commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and affirming community for all.

The proclamation recognizes that LGBTQ+ rights are human rights and celebrates the diversity that strengthens and enriches Pagosa Springs. It also encourages all residents to honor and respect our diverse population while continuing to build a culture of acceptance, belonging, and kindness.

We extend our gratitude to the community members who joined us for this special recognition and for helping make Pagosa Springs a place where everyone is welcome.

The U.S. House of Representatives is voting Wednesday on a bill to restore aid to Ukraine. Rep. Jeff Hurd's vote is critical. If you think the U.S. should be siding with Ukraine, not Russia in this conflict, contact Hurd's office and urge him to support Ukraine on HR 2913.
