🚨 MERCY REGIONAL EMS IS HIRING! 🚨

We are looking for 1 Night Shift Dispatcher to join our team! If you’re dependable, able to multitask, and can remain calm under pressure, we’d love to hear from you.

Position: Night Shift Dispatcher
Shift Rotation: 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM (2/2/3)

Nightshift rotation will begin after successful completion of FTO.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• At least 18 years of age
• U.S. Citizen
• Must pass a drug screening
• Must pass a background investigation/criminal check

Duties & Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls for the ambulance service, including 911 emergency calls and interfacility transfers
• Dispatch ambulances to emergency and non-emergency calls
• Operate radios and coordinate emergency responses with multiple agencies
• Effectively multitask while managing phones, radios, and dispatch responsibilities
• Remain calm and make sound decisions in high-stress situations

Carter Kits are here! 💙

These specialized kits are designed to help first responders better care for and communicate with autistic patients during emergency situations. Carter Kits are part of a grant from the Pediatric Pandemic Network at Norton Children’s Hospital.

The Pediatric Pandemic Network has an incredible goal of placing these kits on every frontline ambulance in the state of Kentucky. We are proud to be part of an initiative that helps make emergency care more comfortable, understanding, and accessible for autistic children and patients. 💙

Today was a great day celebrating our community at the 8th of August Parade! 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who came out to watch, wave, and support the participants who made today’s parade such a success. It was wonderful to see neighbors, families, and friends come together to celebrate this special tradition.

A special thank you goes out to all of the volunteers, organizers, first responders, and participants who dedicated their time and effort to make the event safe, fun, and memorable for everyone.

We hope everyone had an amazing time, and we look forward to seeing you again next year. Until then, thank you for helping make our community such a great place to call home! ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July from Mercy Regional EMS! 🚑

As you celebrate America’s Independence Day with family, friends, and fireworks, we encourage everyone to make safety your top priority.

Safety Tips:
• Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
• Keep children and pets a safe distance away from fireworks.
• Never relight a firework that doesn’t ignite.
• Have a bucket of water or a hose nearby in case of fire.
• Never use fireworks while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Our crews are proud to serve our community 24/7—including holidays—to ensure help is there when it’s needed.

After 10 years of service, including the last 8 years as Captain of Communications, I want to sincerely thank everyone I’ve had the privilege of working alongside. The experiences, friendships, and lessons I’ve gained throughout my time here are something I’ll always be grateful for.

Today was my last full-time shift with Mercy EMS. While this chapter is coming to an end, I’m grateful to share that I’ll continue serving our community in a part-time role.
