🎶 Packwood Neighbors – Carolers Are Coming! 🎶

Our local 4-H Club will be spreading some holiday cheer by caroling around Packwood next Wednesday evening, the 17th!

If you’d like the carolers to stop by and sing a song at your home, please leave your porch light on that evening so they know you’d enjoy a visit. 💡✨

Thank you for supporting our 4-H youth and helping us share a little Christmas spirit throughout our community! 🎄🎵

⚠️ A Winter Storm Warning is in effect beginning Friday 9:00 p.m. CST and lasting through Sunday 6:00 a.m. CST — heavy snow (around 8 to 10 inches possible) and gusty winds are expected.

🚗 Please do NOT park on Main Street from 9:00 p.m. Friday onward to allow Harold plenty of room for snow removal.

🎃 Thank You for a Spooktacular Night! 👻

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Packwood Pre-Halloween Trick-or-Treat Supper! We had a ghoulishly good time with all of you.

A special shout-out to Marty and Virgil Chandler, Ben Ehret, Kayla and Olin Skinner, Firemen Shawn Coleman and Luke Fishel, and Pilot Grove Bank for helping make the evening such a frightful success!

🕷️ Congratulations to our goodie bag winners for guessing the number of spiders in the jar — Abducted by an Alien Kaleb and Spider-Man George!

City of Packwood – Election Information

The upcoming city election ballot will include spaces for write-in candidates for Mayor and City Council.

Current Mayor Allan Forsythe did not file nomination papers but has shared that he is willing to continue serving if elected through write-in votes.

Council Member Virgil Chandler has decided not to seek re-election but noted that his son, Colten Chandler, is willing to serve if written in.

There is also one open council position. John Klingaman has expressed interest in serving and encourages residents to consider writing in his name.

This information is being shared solely to inform residents of available options for write-in voting. The City of Packwood does not endorse or oppose any candidate.

Governor Kim Reynolds will be visiting Packwood on Tuesday, June 3rd to sign an important bill authored by Senator Adrian Dickey that will benefit our firefighters across the state.
