The Meramec Valley R-III School District and several of its schools have earned 2026 Promising Practice recognition from Character.org for initiatives that support character development, leadership, and student success! 🎉

Within MVR-III, Pacific High School earned three recognitions, Coleman Elementary School earned one National Promising Practice recognition, Zitzman Elementary School earned one recognition, and the district earned an overall recognition for its “Bridging the Future” practice.

Reminder: Free summer meals start Monday! 🤗

All community children ages 18 and under, as well as students attending summer school and SACC, are welcome to enjoy breakfast and lunch at no cost. Meals must be eaten on-site.

Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center, Coleman Elementary, Nike Elementary, Zitzman Elementary, and Pacific High School will serve meals Monday through Friday from June 1 through August 7. (These locations will be closed June 19 and July 1-3).

Pacific Dance Team wrapped up a successful UDA Home Camp this past week! 👏

Dancers focused on sharpening their technique, building camaraderie, and expanding their athletic knowledge while learning two new routines. Throughout the camp, the team demonstrated commitment, resilience, and improvement, and they are excited for the upcoming year!

Emma received the Pin It Forward award for her hard work throughout the day and for supporting her teammates. She then pinned it forward to Maeve for her positive attitude and perseverance. 💜

To celebrate the end of the year, Pacific High School students in Ms. Pfitzer’s Mythology classes brought Ancient Egypt to life with a school-wide Egyptian Mythology Scavenger Hunt! 🌟

Participants journeyed through the Duat, solving riddles, answering trivia questions, completing challenges, and earning tokens as they faced trials at the gates of the afterlife.

The event combined teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking, while providing students with a hands-on connection to the myths and beliefs of Ancient Egypt.

The Carrie Gross Scholarship for Nursing is now available for Pacific High School graduates from the present and past, pursuing a nursing degree.
