Mending Fair with the Refugee Artisan Initiative
Saturday, May 16, 1:00PM – 3:00PM

Bring up to two articles of clothing that need to be repaired with the Refugee Artisan Initiative. Mending is limited to visible mending. If you need a garment to be hemmed, you must be able to measure your own inseam. A tape measure will be provided. Please ensure your garment is freshly washed and clean.
Please note that we are unable to replace zippers or repair accessories such as shoes, hats, gloves, or leather goods.

Join us at the library to make a card with buttons! There will be other art supplies available to create your card. All supplies are included. This program is best suited for ages 5 and up. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult.

Come to the library and learn how to Felt Bird Houses with Green Apple Alpacas!
Join us: Tuesday, April 28, 5:00PM – 7:00PM
Bounce your project into existence in this kinetic felting experience. A variety of structures can be made with this process including purses, baskets, hats, cat caves, bird houses, and more. In this class we will make small bird houses. All materials provided. Presented by Green Apple Alpacas.
Ages 13 and up.

Bring your own project or use our limited supplies to explore knitting, embroidery, crochet, hand sewing and more. Share ideas, problem-solve, and celebrate completed projects! All skill levels welcome.
Fiber arts include any craft that uses fabric, yarn or other textiles.
For tweens, teens and adults. Registration not required. Drop in at any time.

Here at the Algona-Pacific Library we have some very exciting news! We are offering English Language Learners (ELL) Classes starting:
Monday, April 20, 2026, 11:00AM – 12:00PM through June 22, 2026. No class on May 25!
Learn English reading, writing, grammar and conversation skills with an experienced teacher. Taught by Dr. Paul Harvey.

Registration not required. Drop-in, walk-ins welcome. Space is limited.

The Algona-Pacific Library is closed today, April 8 for a staff learning day.
Auburn, Black Diamond, Covington, Enumclaw and Muckleshoot locations are also closed. These libraries will resume normal hours tomorrow, Thursday, April 9.
