Today is all about celebrating the people who show up, work hard, and help make Ozark a great place to call home. We hope your Labor Day includes good food, good company, and most importantly, a little time to relax and enjoy the day.

As a reminder, City of Ozark offices are closed today, Sept. 7, in observance of the holiday. Regular hours will resume tomorrow, Sept. 8. Due to the holiday, the Board of Aldermen meeting will be held on Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Labor Day is coming! Here's what you need to know about city hours for Monday. September 7.

𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: Closed for the holiday and will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.

𝗢𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿: Open from 5 am to 12 pm; the indoor pool closes at 11:30 am. There will be no fitness or aquatics classes, and Kids Zone will be closed for the day.

𝗚𝗿𝘂𝗯𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗹: Open from noon to 6 pm, so there's still time to squeeze in some pool fun.

𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗯𝗯𝘆: Open, but the service window will be closed. There is an emergency phone located inside that rings directly to a 911 dispatcher.

💧Use what you need. Save where you can.

With the recent dry weather and limited rainfall, groundwater levels are lower than usual. As a precaution, we’re asking customers to be mindful of their water use and conserve where they can while we continue to monitor conditions.

Here are some everyday ways we can all conserve water:

💧Water lawns less often. Skip a watering day when possible and avoid watering during the hottest part of the day.

💧Water early or late. Water lawns and landscaping in the early morning or evening to reduce evaporation.

💧Hold off on unnecessary outdoor water use. Consider postponing pressure washing, car washing or other nonessential uses.

Small changes can make a big difference and help us maintain a reliable water supply for our entire community. Thank you, Ozark!

Major road improvements are getting underway in Ozark! As MoDOT begins work on the Hwy. CC and N. 22nd Street Intersection Improvement project and the City begins improvements along N. 22nd Street from Hwy. Cc to Longview Road, we want to make it easy for residents to follow the progress.

Beginning in mid-September, we will send monthly email updates with the latest construction information, project progress, and other important updates.

MoDOT will be closing the Eastbound Route CC right lane at 22nd Street tomorrow, September 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is advised that drivers find an alternate route if possible.

Eastbound Route CC right lane CLOSED at 22nd Street in 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, September 3. Crews will install a concrete barrier wall and remove the guardrail on the southeast corner of the Route CC and 22nd Street intersection. https://www.modot.org/node/95912
