PSA!⚠️please be aware if any venue or otherwise is hosting an event where alcohol is being sold, or entrance fees are being charged for the purpose of alcohol consumption, an ABC license is required. We have received many questions regarding this matter, specifically when a “bartending” business is hired to distribute the alcohol. Additionally, the bartenders are not required to have the license, the individual hiring them is however. Please contact the Ozark Police Department at 334-774-2644, or the Alabama ABC board with any questions. Thank you in advance.

🚓Recently, Ozark Police Crime Scene Technicians Haley Brockett and Michelle Rothacher were showcased in an interview with the Southern Star newspaper. Both Crime Scene Technicians play a major role in solving crime and processing scenes, which can be a very tedious task. Both are highly dedicated to the profession and the passion they show is second to none📷🔬

Thank you The Southern Star and Christina Faulkner for taking the time to highlight two of our greatest assets.

🚨⚠️Alert for local businesses. If your business is visited by any individual claiming to be with any power, water, internet company, or alarm company; ask questions and ask for credentials. In almost any event of a service call or visit from a technician, they will be professionally dressed driving a company vehicle with some type of badging or ID. Please educate employees to be cautious and not allow questionable individuals into sensitive areas of the business. Another option is calling the company they are representing to verify employment and reason for the visit.

If any business has had visitors they found suspicious or questionable, please contact Ozark Police at 334-774-2644. Thank you in advance.

Last week we had the honor and privilege of being visited by Little Miss Ozark, Millie Sims. She warmed the hearts of our officers and staff and put smiles on every face 💙. Millie gave us a handmade heart and goodies, and was an absolute joy to be around.

Millie Sims is on a heartwarming mission to spread kindness through her initiative, “Happy Hearts.” With a simple but powerful goal—to make people smile through random acts of service—Millie delivers handmade hearts, each one carefully crafted and paired with a sweet, thoughtful note along with an act of service. She is just getting started and excited to serve Ozark one “happy heart” at a time!
