Supervisor Joseph Saladino & the Town Board invite you to experience Oyster Bay: As It Was A Century Ago, a historical presentation and visual tour of Historic Oyster Bay on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., at the Community Center located on Church Street in Oyster Bay.

Hosted by Town Historian John Hammond, this slide show presentation will take viewers on a trip back in time through vintage photographs from his personal collection, many of which have never been viewed publicly, and include a discussion on the rich history of one of the oldest communities on Long Island. A Q&A is expected to follow the presentation.

🏡🗑️ Fall Hazardous Material & Homeowners Cleanup Days 🗑️🏡

Supervisor Joseph Saladino & the Town Board announce that the Town’s S.T.O.P. (Stop Throwing Out Pollutants) and Homeowners Cleanup Days will hold their final drop-off days this fall.

Residents can drop off materials at the Old Bethpage Solid Waste Disposal Complex, located at 101 Bethpage-Sweet Hollow Road in Old Bethpage.

✅ S.T.O.P. Program - Sunday, September 13 and Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 9AM-4PM

Materials Include:
• Asbestos material (please double bag)
• Automobile batteries & tires
• Brake & transmission fluids
• Fire extinguishers
• Fluorescent bulbs
• Gasoline
• + more

✅ Homeowners Cleanup Day - Sunday, September 27 & Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 8:30AM-4PM (Non-Hazardous Waste Only)

Materials Include:

Brunson is a handsome 4–5 month old domestic shorthair. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines. Brunson can be shy cat at times and is still learning to trust, but he is making progress every day! Brunson gets along well with other cats and would love a patient family who will give him the time he needs to feel safe and come out of his shell. 🖤🤍

Meet Stiles! Stiles is a 6 month old Shepherd/Poodle mix weighing about 50 lbs. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and will be neutered before heading to his new home.

Stiles is a big, energetic puppy with lots of personality and plenty of growing and learning still ahead of him! He would do best in an adult-only home that can give him the structure, exercise, and attention a young pup like him needs.

Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board invite residents to the Town’s Annual September 11th Memorial Ceremony tonight, Wednesday, September 9 at 7 PM at TOBAY Beach. 🇺🇸

“This year marks the 25th anniversary of the tragic events of September 11th, 2001, and to honor those we have lost we invite all residents to join us at our annual September 11th Memorial Ceremony. This remembrance ceremony features music, religious readings, a light tribute, and a reading of the names inscribed on the Town’s 9/11 wall,” said Supervisor Saladino. “We will also unveil new names inscribed on both the Town’s September 11th Memorial and the ‘Walls of Honor,’ recognizing those who made the ultimate sacrifice due to 9/11-related illness.”

The town’s 9/11 Memorial – featuring a steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center – is inscribed with the names of residents lost on September 11, 2001. The Walls of Honor monument expands each year with newly inscribed names of those who lost their battle with 9/11-illness caused by exposure at Ground Zero.
