The Oyster Bay Fire Department and Atlantic Steamer Fire Company No. 1 are excited to announce that our traditional 4th of July Parade will return this year as we continue one of Oyster Bay's most cherished community traditions. The parade will be held on Saturday, July 4th at 10am.

As part of the celebration of America 250, we are introducing a new addition to this year's festivities — a Children's Patriotic Bike Parade. This new event is intended to encourage greater involvement from our youngest community members while preserving the traditions that have made Oyster Bay's 4th of July celebration special for generations.

The traditional parade will remain unchanged and will continue to feature our fire departments, veterans, community organizations, marching groups, and civic organizations. The Children's Bike Parade will be incorporated into the traditional parade, allowing children and families to participate in a fun, safe, and patriotic way. Children are encouraged to decorate their bicycles in red, white, and blue. An award will be presented for the Best Decorated Patriotic Bicycle. We are looking for donations for children’s prizes from local businesses for the best decorated bicycles! Contact us at [email protected] if you would like to make a donation.

We are proud to continue the traditions that make Oyster Bay's Independence Day celebration so special while creating new opportunities for families and children to become part of the event. We hope this new addition becomes a lasting tradition as we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary together.

We look forward to celebrating with you on July 4th!

Thank you to all of the community organizations that participated in today’s parade. Despite the rainy weather this weekend, the break in the clouds and beautiful weather during the parade was a wonderful way to come together and honor our country and those who have served it.

Thank you to Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home Inc. for the memorial cards for our service and Sagamore Collision and Al Dente for their donations for signs in the community.

We appreciate everyone who marched, volunteered, and supported today’s events. Please stay tuned to our social media pages this week for exciting announcements and additional information regarding our upcoming 4th of July Parade celebrations.

This Memorial Day, the Oyster Bay Fire Department pauses to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We remember their courage, reflect on the freedoms they protected, and express our deepest gratitude to all who have served. As we gather with family and community this weekend, may we never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day — a day of remembrance, honor, and respect for our nation’s fallen heroes. 🇺🇸

The Oyster Bay parade is STILL going to occur today. While we respect the need for any group to cancel if they see it is the best decision for their group — especially youth groups — the parade is still going to step off at 11 AM. The service will follow at Town Hall after the parade concludes. We hope you have a safe Memorial Day.
