General Tips for Posting Reports Here:
1. Avoid Bashing TOB Government or Posting Personal Opinions - We all have them, and even though you may be right, this page serves as a platform for publicizing issues that need fixing, not personal opinions of TOB Officials or government service.
2. Photos/Videos Are Encouraged - Photo/Video evidence of these issues are what will help push the report along.
3. Details of Report - Please make sure to include the location of the issue, what time and date you encountered it, and any other information pertaining directly to the incident.
4. Stay Current - Please only report ongoing issues, not issues that were in the past.
5. Ask Questions - Feel free to ask any questions if you need assistance with being directed to which department of the TOB can best serve your issue.
What Type of Issues Can I Report?
1. Public Safety Issues - Any issues that pose a danger to the public such as potential criminal activity in parks, issues with trespassing in neighborhood parks after dark, noise complaints involving vehicles inside parks, sinkholes or fallen trees in parks, graffiti, illegal parking on Town of Oyster Bay roads (No state, county, or private roads).
2. Parks Issues - Broken playground equipment, unmaintained fields or parks, broken fences/gates.
3. Code Enforcement Issues - Any violations of the Town of Oyster Bay Code, especially involving construction, landscaping, food trucks, businesses, and residences.
Our Goal:
Let's shine light on some of the issues that are going on around our town. We are here to help you report your issues and create a public platform for our elected officials and department commissioners to reference. We will be reporting the issues posted here directly to the departments that need to be notified, but if you would like to as well, we encourage you to! As we know, multiple phone calls make things work quicker.
