🧬 Our AP Biology students in Ms. Cahill’s class had a hands-on learning experience today as they dissected fetal pigs to explore anatomy and body systems up close. Students were fascinated by the opportunity to connect their classroom studies to real-world biological structures, deepening their understanding of how complex organisms function. Principal Argaman and Dr. Ianni were honored to spend the morning at the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents Valedictorian and Salutatorian Breakfast, celebrating some of Nassau County’s most outstanding students.

We were especially proud to recognize Oyster Bay High School’s Class of 2026 Valedictorian, Mia Bencal, and Salutatorian, Julia Milos. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence have set a remarkable example for their peers and represent the very best of the Baymen community.

🇺🇸 America is turning 250! 🇺🇸

Next week, Oyster Bay Middle/High School will celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday with a week full of patriotism, learning, and school spirit!

Students and staff are invited to participate in our themed Spirit Week days while also taking part in special activities and lessons that highlight the history, values, and significance of the United States. The week will culminate with a special Flag Ceremony honoring our seniors and commemorating this historic milestone in our nation’s story.

🍧🏆 The Juniors are officially the 2026 Bay Cup Champions! 🏆🍧

After earning bragging rights and claiming the Bay Cup title last Friday, the Junior Class enjoyed a well-deserved victory treat on their way out of school today—a refreshing snow cone! Students got to choose their favorite flavors and celebrate an unforgettable day of competition, school spirit, and class pride.

🏆✨ Congratulations to all of our students recognized at Academic Awards Night 2026! ✨🏆

This evening, we celebrated the hard work, growth, and achievements of students in grades 9–11. Awards recognized both academic excellence and outstanding achievement, honoring students who have excelled in their coursework and those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, improvement, and passion for learning.

We were also proud to recognize several juniors who received prestigious awards from colleges and universities including RIT and the University of Rochester.

We are incredibly proud of all our award recipients and look forward to seeing what they accomplish next! 💙💛

Today, members of our Interact Club spent the day honoring those who served our country by visiting four local cemeteries to replace worn American flags placed at the gravesites of veterans from the Vietnam War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, and the American Civil War.

Students learned how to properly identify veterans’ graves and respectfully dispose of old flags. A special shoutout to Zachary Hertlein, who marked graves for veterans at Memorial Cemetery at Saint John’s as part of his Eagle Scout project last year.

We are incredibly proud of our students for giving back to the community and helping preserve the memory and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes. 🇺🇸

What a day at Oyster Bay Middle/High School! Bay Cup 2026 brought the entire school together in the best way possible, and the energy in the building was absolutely electric from start to finish!

Students from every grade competed in a series of hilarious and high-energy events including Hungry Hippos, scooter races, mattress slides, 3-legged races, and Dress to Impress. The gym was filled with nonstop cheering, laughter, school spirit, and unforgettable moments as students supported one another and gave it their all.

To cap off an incredible day, our teachers took center stage for a competitive game of musical chairs that had the whole crowd roaring!

Events like this remind us what it truly means to be a Baymen — community, connection, spirit, and fun. What a GREAT day to be a Baymen! 💜💛

Today we welcomed our future Baymen for Buddy Day 2026 at Oyster Bay Middle School! 💜💛

Our 6th graders from Vernon Elementary spent the day at OBMHS paired up with amazing 7th grade buddies who helped make them feel right at home. Students attended a middle school class with one of our incredible teachers, enjoyed a fun game-day themed lunch complete with hot dogs, popcorn, and watermelon 🌭🍿🍉, and finished the day in the gymnasium with games, laughter, and new friendships.

A huge thank you to our student buddies, teachers, and staff for creating such a welcoming experience for our incoming students. We cannot wait to officially welcome the Class of 2032 home to Oyster Bay Middle School this September!

⚾🥎 🏃 Our cafeteria team knocked it out of the park today with a special themed lunch to cheer on our Track & Field, Baseball and Softball teams as they compete in their County Championship Meet & Semi Finals games this week!

From ballpark favorites to Baymen pride everywhere you looked, the energy was incredible. We are so proud of our athletes and can’t wait to cheer them on as they continue their postseason runs.

Good luck to both teams — let’s go bring home some wins!
