Good evening Oxford,

We wanted to update you all on a recent grant Sgt Ryan Kasik was awarded through MASS DOT for the betterment of our beautiful town.

Speeding is one of the top complaints by citizens in Oxford and probably every community in the USA. Sgt Kasik put in time and effort to secure grants to acquire speed signs to help deter speeding in our neighborhoods. Where our children play, where we all enjoy our lives and where we expect to be safe.

We have posted 3 of these speed signs on Old Webster Road, Depot Road and Joe Jenny Road. Thank you Sgt Kasik for putting in the extra effort, especially when you work a very busy shift.

To the community, thank you for your continued support, without it, we would not be as successful as we are. 🫡

Today Officer Picking, K9 comfort dog Cooper and Lt Burdett attended a get together with other communities who have participated in and have been awarded the Worcester County Comfort Dog Mutual Response Program Grant under District Attorney Joseph Early and his Team.

Many Officers and their comfort dog companions were in attendance. We would like to thank DA Early and his team, the media, and all of you in the communities who make having a comfort dog possible through awareness and donations.

We thank you 🫡

September 11, 2001 — We Remember

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

We remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken that September morning. We remember the families who lost husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and friends.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, military personnel, and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger while others were running away. Their courage and sacrifice will forever be a part of our nation’s story.

We remember the people aboard the four airplanes, those working in the World Trade Center and Pentagon, and those who simply went to work that morning expecting to return home that evening.

We remember the grief, the fear, and the uncertainty—but we also remember the extraordinary acts of courage, compassion, and unity that followed.

The years may pass, but the memories remain.

We will never forget September 11, 2001.

May the lives lost never be forgotten, may their families always be remembered, and may the courage of those who responded that day continue to inspire us.

Never forget. 🇺🇸
