Oxford Historic Preservation Commission

Oxford Historic Preservation Commission All members are volunteers. The City of Oxford established two historic districts, the College Street District and the Main Street District, on March 18, 2008.

The Oxford Historic Preservation Commission is a 7 member quasi-judicial body that oversees exterior improvements of properties within the Oxford Historic Districts. The Oxford Historic Preservation Commission is responsible for reviewing proposed exterior changes to structures within these two historic districts to ensure renovations or changes are appropriate to the style and era of their archit

ecture. Design Guidelines detail the elements of a home improvement project that are subject to review and the materials and methods that meet the criteria to earn a Certificate of Appropriateness.
