This September, Oxford will welcome a delegation from our sister city, Dubno, Ukraine. To commemorate this special visit, the City of Oxford is creating a unique community flag that celebrates Oxford's identity, history, and connection to our international partners.

Your responses will help inspire a designer who will create three flag concepts for the community to review and vote on later this summer.

It's that time of year again that so many people (in Oxford, at least) are wondering about what is and what isn't allowed regarding taking what students have left out on the curb. Let's clear that up.

First - if you are someone putting something on the curb, consider donating it to ShareFest. Gently used items will get a new life and it will keep items out of the landfill - that is a win-win in our books.

Now, if you notice students are leaving items that you want for trash pickup, feel free to ask their permission to take furniture or any other non-bagged items from the curb. Permission is important because you don't always know if the items are out for trash or to be loaded up in the moving van.

Ripping open trash bags is what is not allowed and can result in a $150 fine. If you notice someone doing this, call the City of Oxford City of Oxford, Ohio - Division of Police at 513-524-5240 and let them know. Let's keep Oxford looking beautiful.
