Good evening,

I am truly humbled and honored to have joined the congregation of Messiah Baptist Church in Yonkers, New York, for their Pre-Father’s Day Breakfast where I was the keynote speaker and being on the panel for The Blueprint of Faith Round Table Discussion. What I expected to be a wonderful morning of fellowship, faith, and encouragement turned into an overwhelming surprise as I was presented with multiple proclamations and citations recognizing my service.

I am deeply grateful to Messiah Baptist Church, the Men’s Ministry, Pastor Frank and Margaret Coleman as well as everyone who played a part in making this weekend so special. To receive recognition from the City of Yonkers, Westchester County, the New York State Assembly, and the New York State Senate is an honor I do not take lightly.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Assemblyman Nader J. Sayegh, Mayor Mike Spano, Westchester County Executive Kenneth W. Jenkins, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Yonkers City Council President Lakisha Collins-Bellamy, Majority Leader John Rubbo, Minority Leader Mike Breen, Minority Whip Deana R. Norman, Council Member Corazón Pineda-Isaac, Council Member Tasha Diaz, and Council Member Tim Hodges for your signatures, support, and recognition.

While these honors bear my name, they truly reflect the dedicated men and women of the Granville County Sheriff’s Office, my family, mentors, friends, and the many people who have supported me throughout this journey.

Thank you for the warm welcome, the fellowship, and this incredible honor. I remain committed to serving others with integrity, faith, and purpose.

Sheriff Robert Fountain has been working closely with the Clerk of Court, District Attorney's Office, and the court system to implement Virtual First Appearances within Granville County.

This transition is expected to streamline the judicial process by reducing inmate transportation requirements, lowering fuel and operational costs, and enhancing overall safety and security for court personnel, law enforcement officers, inmates, and the public at the courthouse.

Sheriff Fountain believes this collaborative effort represents an important step toward improving efficiency within the criminal justice system while maintaining the highest standards of public safety. As the program continues to develop, he hopes to further expand the use of technology-driven processes that benefit both county operations and the citizens of Granville County.

"This partnership demonstrates what can be accomplished when agencies work together toward a common goal," said Sheriff Fountain. "We remain committed to finding innovative solutions that improve services, increase efficiency, and enhance safety throughout our community."
